UPDATE: Hurray! I now have a functioning guestbook again AND a functioning contact form! See the links to the left, but please, first enjoy the stories!
How many years now since I last updated this - too many. However things are going to change. The reasons are two-fold, or perhaps three. First off I have a new webhost that has lots of nifty features I plan to implement, like forums and RSS feed. Secondly, I have a steady job that keeps me happy, and though I could wish I were better paid, I'm content for now which is a big thing.
Most importantly however, there is a very large albatross off my back. I officially terminated my contract with the CD publishing company. Why? Well, to be blunt, I didn't like the product and as a graphic designer by profession I was insulted by the way my suggestions to make the product more presentable were utterly ignored. Editors should edit - they should not design. If anyone out there managed to get one of the few CD books that were made - treasure it cause that's all there are.
What does that mean for the stories? They are coming home!! That's right, I'm bringing all the original stories back to the website and I'm going to do a little tweaking to them so they are a bit more current! Keep your eyes peeled as I begin rolling the revised versions out!
To be honest, I think my disillusionment with the CD book project had a lot to do with this series going stagnant. I was being forced to offer them the next "book", which I didn't like having to do - nor did I like suddenly having to do it a specific way. Face it, I write this series because I enjoy it. I share it on the internet because hey, maybe someone else will too. And if the only profit I ever see from this is the occasional email from someone saying "I read it and enjoyed it." then I'm pretty damn happy.
So please, enjoy the old stories now that they are back home again, and for now please forgive the fact that the title graphics are in white squares on those pages. Unfortunately during one of my many moves I've misplaced the CD that has all my fonts on it - including the font I used for the titles! Given as I have NO clue what the name of it was anymore...well I need to do some searching. So for now, fortunately, I have the titles off the CD book, white backgrounds an all. Hey, it's better than nothing.
Oh, and I'll be redoing artwork as well, so don't be surprised by the fact that there isn't much up - maybe it's all tainted by association, but I've grown to dislike nearly all the art I did for the CD book to the point where I want to redraw most of it. Go figure.
